The Cisco 640-802 Exam is a certified test that is conducted by Cisco Certified Network Associates (CCNA) and is designed for the CCNA Routing and Switching certification. The candidates can prepare the exam by taking the Interconnecting Cisco Networking Devices: Accelerated (CCNAX) v1.1 course. The exam primarily assesses the knowledge and skills of the candidates in installing, operating, and troubleshooting the small to medium sized enterprise branch network. The test is conducted twice a year. The duration of the test is 90 minutes and is subject to change. There are 45 to 55 questions asked to the candidates in the test. These topics are given as follows: Describe how a network works, in which describing the purpose and function of various network devices is included; Configure, verify, and troubleshoot a switch with VLANS and inter-switch communications, in which implementing the basic switch security and configuring, verifying, and troubleshooting the VLANS, trunking on Cisco switches, inter VLAN routing, VTP, and RSTP restoration are included; Implementing an IP addressing scheme and IP services for meeting the network requirements in a medium-size enterprise branch office network, which also includes the calculation and application of an addressing scheme including the VLSM IP addressing design to a network; Configure, verify, and troubleshoot basic router operation and routing on Cisco devices, in which the description of basic routing concepts and the operation of Cisco routers are included; Explain and select the appropriate administrative tasks required for WLAN, in which description of standards associated with wireless media and the function of common security appliances and applications is included; Implement and verify and troubleshoot NAT and ACLs in a medium-size Enterprise branch office network, which also contains troubleshooting the NAT issues; and Implement and verify the WAN links.

The candidates who pass the test become the 640-802 Cisco Certified Network Associate members and are eligible to perform the tasks mentioned here in above.
